Very pleasant and clean hotel, close to the various long-distance bus terminals like Ticabus and Transnica. It's a good place to stay for one night if you're just passing through San José. For a longer stay, go to a better neighborhood. The rate for two people in February 2012 was $59. It included breakfast. There's free wi-fi.

I chose to stay at the Mesón del Ángel Hotel because it had an excellent and safe reputation. I was very happy with my stay. Cost us $55 to stay at a hostel! Dirty bed sheets, no fan, dirty bathrooms. Overall I feel like they over charged us like crazy!
