Stayed here last minute as we didn’t want to drive any further at night. The man at reception was really welcoming and helpful. Lovely big spacious double room with a private bath bathroom, spotlessly clean and good wifi. Secure parking. Gorgeous sea views and a top floor to chill out on with hammocks dotted about. Small pool was just lovely to cool off in after a hot drive. Would definitely recommend if you’re stopping in limón.

A very relaxing and enjoyable stay at La Uvite hotel. The staff was great, Martin, Zika and another lady keep the hotel clean and helped an any way they could. Most of the time a nice cool breeze blew thru my room, which felt so good. Then there was a upper patio that I spent a lot of time, another place there was a nice breeze. Beaches very close, 350 c each way and to town. Bus stop just outside hotel so it made easy to get around, the buses when into the bus station in town to get you to other place in Limon or back to San Jose to go North, south, east or west. Great vacation. Thanks to staff at La Uvite hotel.

We were desperate for a place to stay for a few nights and luckily found this place on trip advisor and there was a room available. Martin was very helpful, despite not speaking much English and us not speaking much Spanish, we were able to communicate and he was very helpful in answering our questions! The room was basic but it worked great for us and had ac, which was a great bonus! We didn’t have a car so Martin helped us call a taxi to get around when we needed. Overall great experience!

Hotel is quite basic and a bit overpriced considering what we got but overall it served its intended purpose (1 night stay on the way to Tortugero) and the staff was very nice so not much to complain about.

A totally quaint hotel run by a charming couple with a lovely little swimming pool. Very reasonable price and out of the hubbub of the town itself. Copious traditional breakfast served in the bedrooms!

+ Not a great choice of acomodation in Puerto Limón. With the construction of the new Port of Moin, especially in tourist season hotels are fully booked. Even relative simple hotels are highly priced. Half decent hotels charge around 100 USD, paid USD cash no Colones, if possible ! Given that, the price for around 60 USD double for this hotel is still moderate. Friendly and helpful ownership. Quiet, some cabins with some sea view. Rooms relatively clean, towels changed daily. Possible to park car inside compound. - Simple furniture, hard matresses, simple bathroom. Breakfast to be ordered in advance, you need to have it in your room sitting on the bed. (I would recomend having breakfast at the beach terrace of Hotel Playa Bonita or nearby Cabinas Cariari.) 800 mts from Playa Bonita, and some 2 kms from Limón Center, no problem if you have a car or don't mind walking or bus or taxi.

No problems checking in early, rooms basic and dated but very clean and comfortable. Although the air con looked like it was on its last legs it was in fact very good. Probably some of the best WiFi connection speed we have had during all our stays in Costa Rica. The pool was really clean with plenty of sun light and a couple of loungers. The owner couldn't do enough for us, our Spanish was appalling and his English not great so we communicated via Google translate, he even bought his laptop to our room when asking about breakfast. The breakfast was $6pp and served in the room. Plenty of it and it was very good. The owner even dropped us into town one morning. It's a little out of the centre but the bus stops right outside the hotel and is only 30 cololnes.
