My family of five stayed here our first night in Costa Rica. (My 6 year old, 8 year old, husband, 65 year old mom, and myself.) We were greeted kindly and my kids were allowed to play with the toys and the bunnies. (The bunnies were by far my daughter's favorite part of the place.) Jose let us use his... More

Located in the town of Alajuela just a quick 5-10 minute drive from SJO Airport, the Vida Tropical is a convenient place to stay if you need to stay near the airport. We were only here for one night and we arrived fairly late in the afternoon at that, so we didn't get to really explore all the amenities offered.... More

I arrived at Jose's around 11pm with my young special needs daughter and we were both exhausted and overwhelmed from our long journey to get there. Jose greeted us so kindly and is such a humble and gentle person... immediately we were at ease. Despite the late hour, he brought food to my room. In the morning he prepared my... More

Abby, I am so glad to have met you and Maya, and it was uplifting to see how you dealt with Maya's needs, specially traveling for such a long time in a foreign country. I hope you both had a wonderful time, and it would be my pleasure to see you both again. Jose More

We stayed at Vida Tropical for our first two nights and our last night. We booked a tour for the next day to Volcan Poas, La Paz Waterfall, Doka Estates (coffe tour) and it was really good!!! We chose Vida Tropical because of its close proximity to the San Jose Airport. Isabella, the manager and her staff were helpful and... More

My husband and I picked up my parents (68 and 66 yrs old) and needed a safe, comfortable place to stay for one night. Isabel greeted us, and showed us our rooms. My parents had the "Garden Room" which was in back. Cozy and w/private bathroom. We had the "Gecko" room which was up front across from reception. Double bed... More

This is my 2nd time staying here. I live in CR and it is hard to find a decent place, in a quiet neighborhood yet close enough to airport. Vida Tropical BB is great! There are no buses that start at 4am, no noisy horns and still only 10minutes from the airport. This weekend, we stayed there because of a... More

We stayed at Vida Tropical for our first two nights and our last night; and we stopped in to pick up our excessive luggage in between those times when we arrived back from Drake Bay. We chose Vida Tropical because of its close proximity to the airport for both International flights and Sansa flights. Isabella, the manager was so very... More

I stayed here for one night during my trip to CR. It's a nice house Turned B&b. They have this adorable bunny and her babies that are domesticated living in the backyard too! My room (Terrace room) was small but had all I needed. A nice, comfy, clean bed, night stand, T.V., nice view out the window, ceiling fan and... More

We opted to stay here twice after we saw great reviews and booked on Air BnB. Glad we did! It was convenient for us to stay here after spending time in the La Fortuna/Arenal area and then were catching an early flight from Pavas Airport on Nature Air to Bocas del Toro, Panama. Since we had one day in between... More
