“Peaceful smell of fresh cut grass”

We stayed here a few years ago when renovations were beginning. Then, it was quiet, rustic, charming and historic. Just outside, on Maoming Lu South, there was a great bar ("Blue something or other") and a couple of tasty bistros (including Pane e Vino). “Fantastic Experience”

Shanghai is very intrenational city. You can find out all the hotel brand in Shanghai but not every hotel can gove you experience of IC Ruijin. Historical and modern. I love the garden very much with around 20 old trees..

“I stayed there twice, and love this jewel in Shanghai”

This hotel is well located in Puxi Shanghai, low rise hotel and lovely garden setting. Every morning, you can hear the birds sining and smell the flowers and grass. Whilst I agree there is no wi fi in the rooms I didn't see it advertised on their web site. Anyway they have LAN and its great to sit in the coffee shop down stairs over looking the garden. No mention before of the swimming pool! Must see it at least! Built by the Brits 80 years ago in Art... More

One key thing we look for in a hotel when we travel internationally is free WiFi so that we can use our phones and ipads to plan our daily activities and find restaurants. The hotel claims it has free WiFi. This is actually not true. You cannot get WiFi in your room, you can only get it in the lobby... More
