This may have been a visibly beautiful place, but our experience on the island and with the tribe was NO vacation. The best two weeks ever! From first arrival we were treated like family and once you get to know everyone its easy to share laughs and of course kava! We spent in that place 3 days. From the beginning: Nobody picked us up from the big boat, neither from the nearest resort "Long Beach", so we had to walk carrying our own bags in the midday sun and it's not a short walk. This resort is right on the beach in a protected cove on the southern side of Matacawalevu island. The beach is great for swimming at hight tide and there is coral nearby (they offer free kayaking and snorkelling gear).
