My wife and I came over from England for a wedding in South Carolina but went to Montgomery for a couple of days to visit some of the Civil Rights locations. I have been staying at The Butterfly Inn, Bed & Breakfast at least 2 nights a week since September (business traveler). It is truly Montgomery's best kept secret! The rooms are tastefully decorated, extremely clean and comfortable, and a GREAT value. Mr. & Mrs. Sankey are the ultimate hosts and do an amazing job at making you feel at home....

My fiance and I were well looked after by Johnnie and Isiah at The Butterfly Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast there. We enjoyed interesting conversation with our hosts, and also visiting Montgomery, which is a historical and interesting city. We would recommend this B&B to other travellers to Montgomery.
Good value with family atmosphere. Isiah and his family take very good care of their guests.History lessons on Montgomery included. Ask for the Bishop's room where Bishop Desmond Tutu once almost slept.
