Disappointed from the initial reception, my view did not improve during my 5 nights here. Beds seriously hard,stained bedding (blood?) which included an old mattress cover for a blanket,Drinking water replenishment required constant trips downstairs,room service only on the 1st and last day,airconditioning output could not be directed away from blowing directly on to the bed,hot water only twice over... We stayed there for 2 nights in January. Booked through email and got confirmation - everything was smoothless. Staff could be a bit more friendly and helpful. Rooms didn't come back from a fresh round of renovation as our travel guide mentioned and especially the bath room door looked not very clean. Price was okay, the room itself was big... More

Good place to stay, rooms are little small but good. Its value for money. Food is good and AC in the room is also good. all rooms have LCD tv. May be the only concern is the surrounding. Beach is 10min walk from the hotel. Booked thru email and got confirmation immediately. Surely will come back here.

comparing to other hotels in the area Comfort hotel is OK, but it only means that other places we have seen within 20 minutes walk were just horrible. the desk staff is agressive and speaks poor English. the street where the hotel is situated is packed with homeless people and looks very unsafe after dark. the rooms are bearable, though.... Good place to stay in Chennai in comparison with other places in India.Nice rooms ( again comparing with other hotels in India ) ,big bathroom and almost clean, hot water and AC.The LCD with many movies channels was very helpfull in a rainy day , waiting the flight to go back home. Although a bit small, my room was clean, recently refurbished, and featured a very new-looking LCD widescreen TV with good reception. A/C isn't really my thing, but mine was quiet and easy to adjust. Ok place to stay. The neightborhood is a bit dodgy, not much in Chennai for backpackers. AC restaurant on the ground floor does ok food. Bar upstairs (was a big fight when I stayed). Service is ok.
