In our opinion (me and my wife) the owners of a hostel must be polite and helpful. Well, she was not AT ALL. Didn't speak any English which is not that strange for Panama is Spanish speaking but come on, again, you are a HOSTEL. Meant for travellers around the world. Honestly we have to say that her husband or... More

A few of our employees made the trip to Bocas a year ago and stayed here while travelling. They had good things to say about the place and especially the roof deck, with its multiple comfy hammocks and great view of the center of Bocas Town. The view also takes in the community park. Overall a good experience with the... More

I stayed in Coconut during the Carnaval. They asked 10 dollars for a leaking mattress on the roof. I had a 20 dollar bill, and had to push them hard to give me back the change (as they claimed they don't have any change at that moment). It was way overcrowded, people sleeping everywhere and there was basically nothing I... More

DORM ROOMS: - average althoug not all mattresses were of the same quality, we grabbed some good beds with nice pillow. there are only 4 beds in a dorm, whats definitely a plus. on the other hand it was not at all spacious. and there's only 1 locker each room. 10usd per night which is ok for bocas. KITCHEN: -... More

This 'hostel' has an extremely weird vibe. I found the woman running the place to be quite rude and not very friendly at all. It seems like her entire extended family live here and they tend to take over the whole place, giving you horrible looks and making the guests feel like intruders. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Also the... More

Super clean hostel. No a/c but the rooms had fans. Nice common area with kitchen. Close to most things in town, right by the town square and markets. The staff is very friendly and will chat with you. Wi-fi available throughout.

For my experience during this trip (three weeks in Panama) the Coconut Hostel owners were the most accommodating. The place is centrally locates, right across from the park, walking distance to the taxi boat. The dorm rooms are of maximum four and the price is reduced if you stay longer than one night. Since it is the low season I... More

The owners are pretty relaxed if you get to know them, they're just very strict about the quiet ambiance of the hostel after 22:30 and they don't want to be a party place. apart from that it was a nice stay. Regular price for bocas, close from the party places, little bit different and more chill clientele than the "party"... More

The hostel was OK, the owners seemed nice at first, and the rooms are alright, kind of small, but only 4 per room which is nice. The kitchen was small and without storage, and the family who runs it also uses the kitchen most of the time so there are limited burners available. The hang out area out front is... More

This was one of the worst hostels I have stayed in during my 4 months of travel around Central and South America. The dorm beds were of a poor quality and the foam mattresses dipped in the middle. There was only one tiny locker in a dorm room for 5 people. The kitchen was untidy and small with no storage... More
