Im giving this 4 stars because at night, there is a floodlit tree that is bated for the visit of the leopards which are joined by hyena , elephants and even a porcupine - the animal visitations were wonderful - the "hotel" was not so hot . To begin with, there is no power until 6pm each evening and it... More

Last stayed here 6 years ago. Don't think they have done anything to improve the place since. Food - very poor Service - poor Rooms - poor Price of Drinks - very expensive Overall - The only thing the place has going for it is the visit of the Leopard Place needs a complete overall - buildings and staff Would... the location is excellent. the food was above average and the common area was enjoyable and it made me want to kick back and drink a few Tuskers. The Leopard baiting worked as two leopards showed up and fought and ran off into the night. one came back an hour later to dine on the hanging meat. the fight occurred... More

We stayed in this lodge 1 night during a 4-day safari and it was my favourite lodge. Our room had a balcony with amazing views of a sweeping valley intersected by a river. Lots of elephants came to drink from the river and even at night time we could hear them. Some reviews mentioned that the lodge is ugly, but... More

As per previous comments, the location is stunning, no doubt about that. The rooms are very basic however we expected that having read reviews on here. Food - We ate from the buffet, this was very disorganised. Food was not very good at Dinner or Breakfast. Staff - Not as friendly as you might expect for Kenya however they still... More

We stayed here for one night during our 3 night safari. This lodge may be more basic very clean and comfortable, it had a lovely atmosphere and the staff were so friendly. The food was great with good selections and very fresh. The views were amazing and waking up in the morning and looking out of the balcony and seeing... More

What a disappointment! Apart from the location (absolutely stunning location) the experience at Ngulia is nothing short of horrible. The welcome was shocking. Nobody helped us with getting the luggage from the van. A steward stood watching while we unpacked from the van. He then pointed !!!! to a tray with towels to refresh ourselves...pointed and said letta (Swahili for... More

After staying at Voi Lodge for 2 nights we set off for Ngulia for one night. Another favourite lodge of mine. We left early at 7am - myself and friend and excellent driver John - my husband could not make it for buisness purposes and wish he had as I saw some animals we will never see again!! On the... More

On arrival here we were immediately ushered to the balcony where a Leopard and her cub were eating, it was an amazing greeting! This was the last of the big 5 we had to see so we were happy we arrived when we did! We only stayed here for one night and it was more than adequate for our needs.... More
