We stayed 3 nights in a wonderful 2 bedroomvilla with whirlpool and enjoyed the beautiful design, the space and the quietness. Because the hotel is a bit outside the town, we had always dinner there. We liked both restaurants, but preferred the chinese! The spa treatment was excellent!

The Banyan Tree Lijiang is in a spectacular setting and the property is very well maintained. A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting with excellent service. Had expected better food and beverage for the price. Eat out for variety and better value. Breakfast buffet was the same except for the token change of fried noodles to rice and we were there for 5 nights. The staff were helpful and what made the difference.

The waitresses in Bai Yun Chinese Restaurant are friendly, I felt very relaxing and this is a very good hotel for leisure, meditation and vacation with beloved ones. Impressed by seanally view backed by high mountains. Enjoyed very private cottage stay with jacuzzi and garden where I could be relaxed by just sitting garden chair with sipping Chinese tea. Ten minutes to walk to reach old city where we can experience old China like time slip by 1000years. We should come back again in October.

We spent 3 nights only and I wish we could stay longer. The driver Ricky from Banyan picked us up from the airport and transfer us to the resort with a brand new comfort U.S imported SUV, super comfortable. Magnificent view but the fridge is not working, furnitures are collapsing...umbrella is broken, no Chinese official receipt if you book through Agoda. Anyway we enjoyed our stay, the mountain view is fabulous, bath's good.
