It's pretty much been said, great location, formerly great hotel on the skids. Single beds, crappy carpet but otherwise fine. If you know this in advance, no surprises. But the Shangrila will be open soon and that should make for a better experience.

I stayed at Queli Hotel for a week as part of a group. While the staff were friendly, the wifi was less than reliable (the Ethernet cables in the rooms don't work), the rooms were a bit rough around the edges (not very clean, not a 4 star standard as I know it). The second night I awoke to rustling... More

Queli Hotel, four star Qufu, Shandong, China www.quelihotel.com Just a quick note on this nice 175 room 30 year old hotel. We live in China part of the year and have been travelling here for many years. This was our first chance to get to Qufu. We did not choose the hotel but were very pleased with the facility. The... The location is great.. the architecture is great... and thats all! What a waste! If only they have non-smoking room... If only they have clean soft towels .. If only they care more about being clean & tidy... If only they care to smile & be friendlier... If only.....

I stayed in the Queli Hotel because of its proximity to the UNESCO world heritage sights in Qufu. The Confucius Temple and Mansion are both within 5min walking distance of the hotel. And considering the location of the hotel, 240RMB a night seems a very good deal to me. Check-in was fast and efficient and the staff were all very... More

The Queli Hotel, which once won awards for its style, is now shabby and worn. Its proximity to the Confucian Temple and Confucius Mansion is its main attraction. It claims to have free wifi throughout the hotel. But you will find travelers, computers in hand, searching for a signal. However, there is one thing here you won't want to miss.... More

The hotel is run down. Carpet is dirty, There are no queen or king beds. Carpets are dirty and worn. On way in saw other hotels being built (Shangra la). I would recommend to stay at those.

I recently spent one night at the QueLi Hotel while visiting the Confucius attractions in QuFu. The hotel is pretty typical by Asian/Chinese standards, although it does have some attractive and pleasant interior and exterior appearance features including koi ponds, gardens and courtyards, and interesting art and decor in the public areas that differentiate it from some similar hotels. The... More

A very basic hotel, although with a very advanced business model aimed at making as much money as possible from the tourists! Accommodation was very basic. Hard, single beds; very average breakfast selection; constant requests (every time we entered the hotel) for us to go and look at the souvenir shop; a night light that we couldn't work out how... Slightly aging but holding up well, the Que Li provided us with comfortable accommodations. This city caters more to Asian travelers than Westerners, and we felt we had gotten the best around. Its best features are the layout and the location - right between the Confucius Temple and the Mansion, with their entrances just a couple of blocks walk past... More
