Located just two blocks away from Santos Dumont airport, this is a typical Ibis hotel. It is good for business travelers but to pay R$ 240 for one night is just too much for a hotel of this quality.

This is a classic Ibis hotel from Accor chain. It is like MacDonalds of the hotels, clean, realitively, new, small rooms and barely any service.
I had stayed at Ibis hotels in the past so I knew exactly what to expect for. And in general I got what I was hoping for.
It costs about half what other older, stinky...

I was meant to be at the Novotel next door, but due to some confusion with including credit card information in the reservation (thanks for a clear process, Accor!), my reservation was canceled, and everything was fully sold due to a conference. They were going to try and send me to Ipanema, but I had booked a room in the...

Noise (both of machinery and planes landing/taking off. Miserable open room for clothes (per the picture you can see how I got my shirts and jackets ¿hanged? No hair dryer. On the other hand, well located, cheap and with breakfast better then you'd expected in this brand. Staff very service oriented, and very professional despite they're flaws they can't solve.

I spent the weekend on the hotel, the main touristic points are a little far away, but if you have rent a car is a great place, there are parking slot in front of the hotel (so no need to pay for it), is very safe because is in near a military area, and extremely close to the airport, so...

Rooms are clean and there is affordable wifi even if some rooms have worse connection. Locations is conveniently close to domestic airport and taxi from international Rio airport is about 45R$ if you book in advance. Not many...

Stayed there to go to a business meeting, and was fortunate to take only one taxi ride, coming from Galeão Airport, since I couldn't find a flight to Santos Dumont in a decent time from my hometown.
On the other hand, for the rest of my staying, I could go walking everywhere, even to catch my flight back home, that...

Very good location in downtown Rio, very close to the local airport (Santos Dumont) and other interesting neighborhoods as Lapa (great night attarction), Cinelândia, Gloria and Flamengo. Excellent for business, beacuse you may be just a fwe steps from your target or for those who are more interested in explore old Rio, Lapa by night or be closer to the...

As we drove up, I thought I was going to the Novotel, but we went to the Ibis next door. Small, crowded little room, only good for an overnight. There was dry toothpaste in the sink before I even used it. Then after I did and rinsed the sink - BLACK hair, needless to say, MY hair is not black....

My friends and I stayed at Ibis Rio de Janeiro Santos Dumont for the marathon. The hotel is close to Expo and less than 3 km from Flamengo Beach, the place that the marathon ends.
The Rio Antigo, like Candelária, Confeitaria Colombo e Teatro Municipal is close to the hotel. It's a cheap place to stay and a quite oasis.
