Hotel in a great location, between Cocacabana and Ipanema. Very close to the beach and gay clubs. Simple lobby, no chance for eraly check-in. Room equipment very simple, not a three star hotel. Cheaper rooms facing next building wall, dark. Breakfast is very good, quite generous with a large selection of fresh fruit.

I haven't seen decor like this since 1983. The lobby is completely dated; gilt-trimmed statues, grubby chairs and gloomy lighting which sets the tone for the rest of the hotel (most dated hotels try to lull you into a false sense of security with a refurbished lobby area). Great location just 3 blocks from Copacabana Beach. Safe district. A lot of restaurants around. Hotel itself from the 70's a bit used up. But there are upgraded rooms which are ok. Staff very helpful but not always efficient. Great breakfast buffet. Nice swimming pool on the 14 Th. floor. Beds ok. Noisy street.

Few words. Old building. Good location but not so close to the beach of Copacabana. Dangerous traffic cars I mean. Good breakfast. Small bath towells. Terrible beds. No activities surrounding it than the beach.
