Hotel Studio do Carmo is located on the outskirts of the old city. I would recommend asking for the room that overlooks the old church. Staff were helpful (TAM lost our luggage) but did recommend that we went to Paraguay for a day trip to buy cheap electronics which was a real waste of time. More

I loved this pousada for the fantastic location (2 min. from the main square of Pelourinho, in front of a beautiful church) and for the breakfast served in your bedroom in front at a nice view of the old town center. Small bathrooms and spacious bedrooms in colonial style. More
