Easy walk from Pelourinho into Santo Antônio Além do Carmo to reach the Hotel but our real destination was the bar overlooking the harbor. My friend and I enjoyed drinks on the outdoor patio with great views of the harbor. Others were eating food but I only had a drink. The vibe was relaxed and the staff didn’t rush us, and no pressure to order more. Lovely setting and gorgeous view.

I stopped by for a cold beer and ordered a cheese brusqueta which was very nice. A beautiful place to appreciate the famous “Bahia de São Salvador” sunset. A very casual place, don’t expect a “five star” service.

We visited the restaurant twice. The food was good both times, we had a salad and pizza. The second time the service was not good, the waitress specifically ASKED for her tip, which was already included in the bill that we’d payed for. The 10% service fee is included in most places, and i think its absurd for the waitress to ASK for more tip. We decided not to give her any extra, as she was so rude to explicitly ask for extra. Food was good tho!

We went there for dinner. Ordered the signature dish, fish in banana leafs. We were told that 2 people could eat from this plate, priced at $55 Reais. When it arrived, the dish was barely enough for one person. We tried it - but it was uncooked, raw inside and still cold. The owner or chef came to apologize, telling us that we would not be charged. However, when we left, we were still given a bill for the 2 beers we had, plus a charge for the music that was playing. Total: $37 Reais. We had asked to sit in a spot (upstairs) where we could not hear the music, as we wanted to talk. They still charged us. Very bad experience. Utter disregard for guests. The “gracious” offer not to charge us only referred to the fish we could not eat anyways. Wasted our dinner time. There are lots of better places close by. Avoid this one.

I don't know about the hotel, but the restaurant is horrible. Avoid! Não sei sobre o hotel, mas o restaurante é horrível. Evite! Just to fill the required 200 words , I've ordered one drink and and a kind of beef, very popular (sun dried), both under any standard. Again: just don't go! Apenas para completar as 200 palavras exigidas, eu pedi uma caipirosca e uma carne de sol, ambas abaixo de qualquer crítica. Repetindo: apenas não vá!

We visited this restaurant on Christmas Day and chose it as it looked very nice from the outside and there was a lovely terrace with a great view across the bay. Apart from that the rest of our experience was a terrible disappointment. I ordered a speciality house salad which was supposed to come with a chef's homemade dressing. The salad arrived, which did look promising but there was no dressing. When I requested the dressing I was given a plastic bottle of vinegar with a hole drilled in the lid taken straight from the kitchen, and a bottle of olive oil. I wouldn't have minded, but the price of the salad was well in excess of other restaurants. My husband ordered fish, which arrive approximately 20 minutes after my salad arrived and when he went to eat it, it was completely frozen in the middle and inedible. At that stage, after no more than cursory service we asked for the bill and left, bitterly disappointed. I refused to pay for the fish plate as it was totally inedible. There are other restaurants along that same street that are better value for money and offer the same view, and actually like their customers, so really, don't bother with this one.

They don't care about their customers. Tonight at the bar we asked for two “mixed salads”. Although the kitchen warned they were out of lettuce, the salads came with only half of the ingredients on the menu. We asked for a discount for that and the and receptionist called the manager twice, but mrs. Eliene REFUSED to come talk to us! At the end, they couldn't even provide an invoice. Awful experience… Eles não se importam com os clientes. No bar hoje pedimos duas “saladas mistas”.

The place has a nice view, but they don't care about customers at all. After having a bad dinner experience, I tried to talk to the manager (someone called "Dona Eliene"), but she refused to come to the front desk to solve the problem and did not show up. The hostess couldn't handle the problem herself and called the manager several times, but she didn't want to hear my and my friends' complaint. The service at the bar was really poor, the dishes are different than the description in the menu and the place didn't have very simple items, like lettuce and sparkling water. But the worst was the fact that the manager couldn't care less about customer's satisfaction. I won't come back and don't recommend this place to any one. Many other cools hostels, B&B and restaurants nearby - try one of them.

We went with my friend for a drink, then we had some apetizers as the chef was Japanese. So it was nice for a change. The staff was very friendly and the owners too. We had good food, good service and we stayed until the sun went down. Great view on Salvador's port and sea. The hotel bar is well situated in the old town and it's safe to walk down there during the night. The wifi connection is great too.

Hotel: Extremely noisy, owners children sleeping in the lobby, running and screaming around the hotel at insane hours. With the lack of soundproofing, you can hear everything that is happening on the ground floor from the cleaning staff to the kitchen prepping breakfast. Rooms: Dirty + no sheets Restaurant: Waited 1h30min for our food even though we were the only customers and the food was almost inedible. Service: Average. The front desk was quite friendly but inexperienced and was new to town therefore had no recommendations whatsoever as to what to visit and where to eat. Location: Good and not too far from the historic town. Value: USD400 a night Terribly disappointed for what we got especially for the price we paid. I highly recommend you stay someplace else.
