I stayed in a single room in this hotel. The room was very spacious for one person. Everything looked new and the room was kept very clean. I really love my room. The breakfast was simple but very tasty as the ingredients were fresh. The location of the hotel is excellent, directly opposite JR Hirosaki Station, about 100m away. The receptionists could speak some English and they were very helpful and professional. The coin laundry machines were handy.

Everything was basic: small room, service, and breakfast. Nothing more. Nothing less. I had an efficient check-in and check-out. This is a typical business hotel. The breakfast buffet was set up on rearranged tables in the dining area like one would do at home. No public bath. It's best trait is the convenience to the JR station. The izakaya on the ground floor of this building is pretty good.

This hotel is extremely conveniently located in a minute walk from the railway station. Room has all necessary amenities and was not too small (that was a curse of many Japanese hotels). Wi-Fi was reliable. Two nice restaurants (Japanese and Indian) are in the same building.

Expect same high standard in Toyoko Inn. The water boiler for 500ml only. Green tea powder and plumb tea powder. 2 mugs. No pants flatten board, the double room has 1 round table with 2 chairs + chair at the desk. The LCD TV can be connected to your laptop. Japanese breakfast: rice, condiments, a type of protein such as mackerel, sliced pork meat etc, chopped cabbage, miso soup, coffee or tea, small rolls. Large lobby for breakfast. Cloth on table for you to clean up. Has microwave. Hot & cold water dispensing 24 hours. Ice machine. VOD 500 yen all you can watch movies to watch from online. Get your own shaver, comb, PJ stored in a sterilizing cupboard on the ground floor next to reception. Coin operating laundry. 200 yen to wash, 30 yen for powder, 100 yen / 30 min for the dryer. 2 sets on site. Business centre with laptops connected online, free printer to use! 2 minutes walk from the station. Free parking in a high rise. Will take 5 to 10 min to get the car out.

Location just beside the Hirosaki station, with bus terminal beside the station. Easy access to various part of Hiroski by buses outside the hotel. Easy access to Aomori for a day trip. The hotel was fully booked during my stay but the friendly staffs never fail to put up a great simile while running overdrive. The breakfast we great, with some local dishes and apple juices. Nice and clean interior decoration as usual Toyoko Inn standard.

Toyoko Inn is a functional no-frills hotel where most of what you need is in your room. It feels cramped but it's a comfortable place. My room had a screened window, but there's no view to speak about. It has a ref, a TV, even a wall clock. It even has a small round table when you want to dine in. The restaurant at the ground floor serves buffet breakfast with a limited but serviceable food. There's a row of restaurants just outside and a convenience store nearby. It's a good place to base yourself for travels i this cold and seemingly very remote northern city.

Having a Toyoko right at the station is wonderful! In Tokyo, most of the Toyoko's are farther away from the main train stations. But as you get out into rural areas, many of the Toyoko's are right at the station or within minutes walking. Due to our visit to Hirosaki during their annual cherry blossom festival, we were not able to get twin rooms as couples. So our everyone in our group reserved single rooms. We were pleasantly surprised that the rooms we got were actually "double" rooms, if you understand the usual Toyoko room descriptions. There was a double bed, ample space (for a Toyoko) but clearly for only one person. there was only one room slipper and rack, towels for only one, et al. In addition to what other reviewers have written, I would add that in addition to the benefit of being a Toyoko Inn member and getting a room discount, if you choose the Eco Stay, which means there is no daily room cleaning, you get a discount and still get new towels each day. All in all, a great deal! Most highly recommended. There is a comfort in having all Toyoko's pretty much looking the same.

Right outside of the station, this hotel was a great base for us to spend two days exploring Hirosaki and Goshogawara. The staff were friendly and even stopped me one day to refund an accidental overcharge (of only 50 yen!) the night before. We got the Double room which had a enough space to store your luggage and still be able to just move around the room. Breakfasts at Tokyoko Inns are always a bit stressful - not a big enough room to cover how many people want to eat, so you have to get cosy with your fellow hotel guests from time to time. Food was good though, with the standard range of Japanese breakfast foods.

The room was clean, quiet, bright, functional and small, as expected. Toothbrush was supplied in the room, with more amenities available in the lobby. There was no space to put luggage – it was suggested to store it under the bed. Well, OK, but slightly inconvenient. We paid around 8,000 yen for a 2-bed room, including breakfast. But depending on when you go, better deals can be found. If you join their loyalty program, there is small discount available. I think it was 5%. Breakfast was a combination of Japanese and Western foods – simple but adequate. The location is steps from Hirosaki Station, very convenient if you have an early train. Busses to the Apple Park are located in front of the station.

Location? Service? Cleanliness? Great! Great! Great! This was an unexpected find and also a first time for me to stay in a Toyoko Inn. I can't ask for more with the well laid out and pragmatic design of the relatively sizeable double bed room I got and with breakfast that has menu changed daily thrown in. It is value for money! No wonder this hotel chain got itself in to the Guinness Book of Records for 100% checked in occupancy for a 24 hour period!
