Stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is located near the JR Station. Very convenient location n easy access to restaurants. If you driving, there is a charge for overnight parking for hotel guests. Checkin was quick but little English is spoken by hotel staff. There is a coin operated washing machine located inside the public bath. You can purchase liquid laundry detergent from the front desk. Breakfast is a simple buffet as part of the room price. Rooms are clean n well maintained.

Top location, right next to the train and bus station. There are countless shops and restaurants in the vincinity and Hirosaki can be reached walking in about 20-25mins. The room was a bit dated but very clean and had all I needed.

This is probably one of the older hotels of the Route Inn chain. The design is old fashioned and the furniture start to show signs of age. But overall, the facilities are all up to standard and the room is clean and decent. There is an onsen for use by the guests. The included breakfast is more than adequate. Quite a comfortable stay. The hotel is within 2 minutes’ walk to the rail station and bus terminal and is therefore very convenient. Considering the reasonable room charge, it is excellent value for money.

Route Inn I think hands down could be considered among the best business hotel chains in Japan. Right next to the station at Hirosaki, with restaurants and shops nearby -and a 100 yen bus that takes you to the castle park and the city’s famed Sakura, this place seems to be good. But then they come in for the gold, a free onsen style bath on the top floor available for all guests with a view of Mt. Iwaki. And that made this hotel great. I think this perk may be a feature of the chain, which -if that’s true, I would recommend this place no matter where you go. The only con was that I liked the baths better than the shower in the room.

Since we were in Hirosaki for Hirosaki sakura festival all accommodation was already taken or crazy expensive. Luckily we got perhaps the last room available in Ekimae hotel. It was a traditional style smoking room which really wouldn't be my room of choice but since there was none other, we couldn't be picky. It was a nice surprise when we came there and the room was nice, clean and didn't smell at all. I see some other reviewers had an issue with the residue smell in their smoking rooms, but I guess we were lucky (or they draw the short straw). Besides the room, which was more than OK for us to crash the night, the location of the hotel is just perfect. Right next to the train station and 20-30 min walk to Hirosaki park (or you take one of the taxies which are always there in front of the train station). Before you leave to explore Hirosaki on your foot, take a good note of your location. Hotel renamed recently and when we were there Google maps didn't update yet and lead us to the wrong hotel. Luckily a random friendly local lead us a good 20 min to the doors (this is Japan for you, how amazing is that!).

I do really appreciate for the very helpfull & kind-hearted staffs especially the front desk staff. They showed their effort to arrange our stay in hirosaki. When i left my jacket they sent it to my next hotel in other city. Location is just great across the hirosaki station. From our hotel window we can see the station & bus terminal activities throughout the day. Breakfast menu is also awesome, great taste & variation. Definitely i recomend this hotel to everyone.

Located right across from the train station. Friendly staff. Onsen was nice. Unfortunately we ended up with a smoking room, and as it was Golden Week, there was no other rooms available. Which made it quite unpleasant in the room. Very smoky and everything reeked. Good Japanese selection for breakfast, limited Western choices. We liked the complimentary coffee machine in the lobby, which we took advantage of. Rooms were on the small side but adequate. Overall the price paid was steep for what you got, but given it was Golden Week, I guess it is understandable. If it had been any other time , I would probably only give it three stars.

This is a great location for visiting whatever Hirosaki has to offer. It is across the street from the JR station and only a short walk from the Hirosaki Castle and park. Because of the JR station, taxis and buses are readily available. The hotel itself is a very nice version of a typical Japanese hotel. The room is very small compared to US standards but very roomy for a Japanese. There is a great great bath on the top floor with a wonderful view of Iwake-san. The breakfast, which as included in the room fee, was typical Japanese style with a wide variety of soups, veggies, fish, eggs, and sausages. I will stay in this hotel when I return every time.

The hotel is fine. Standard business hotel. Close to main station. It gets a lower rating due to no motorcycle parking. It has free "CAR" parking but if you have a motorcycle need to go down the street and around the corner to park, no in-out, and it only takes small bills as I find out unfortunately at 530AM. There was almost certainly space to park a motorcycle at the hotel but didn't seem to be an option. If on a bike find a place that will allow parking n premises even if it's another 1500-2000 more than here as that's about what you'll pay to park the bike. I also noted when booking that I'd need motorcycle parking so there was opportunity, if anyone was looking, to notify me ahead of time, make arrangements etc. So overall I'd say you might try another place.
