First of all requested two beds months ahead of time and got one bed second the halls smell very very bad and the carpet in the room smells like mildew. Third bathtub down spout installed wrong, Fourth weak wifi signal, fifth and only good thing Breakfast was good, but had to wait until the staff ate and made room for... More

My husband and I stayed here for several days during a church conference. We were impressed with everything about our stay from the comfortable rooms to the super staff to the nice breakfast and accomodations! Would definitely recommend and will choose it next time we're in town. More

The Ashmore Inn in Amarillo is located right off the Interstate and close to loads of restaurants. The best part is you have an opportunity to have 'free' dinner and drinks at the Inn. Dinner is catered in by one of the local restaurants. It isn't 5-star; but good none the less. After several hours of driving, not having to... More

These are very nice people--typical West Texas hospitality--and, all in all, this is a very nice place, especially for a non-chain. The rooms are good size, good TVs, nice beds...all good. The bathrooms are a bit small, but not ridiculously so. The only problem I have encountered...the halls always seem to have a questionable odor. It is not just being... More

Everything about the hotel and the room was absolutely perfect. One of the nicest places we've encountered. Saved about 50% by booking on hotels.com instead of the Ashmore Inn web site, but I didn't realize until after the transaction that I was actually paying in advance for the room rather than using my card to reserve the room. I have... More

We stayed here one night on our way to New Mexico. The hotel is off the road, so you won't hear noise from the Interstate. The room was quite adequate plus being very clean. As other reviewers have stated, the rooms could use some updating, but we were quite satisfied. The bed was comfy and the room was a good... More

I recently stayed in this hotel for a wedding. I must say that we got a really good rate because of the wedding party block, so of that I cannot complain. As we arrived at the hotel, it was quite impressive. Long beautiful corridors, a beautiful lobby area and a nice breakfast area. We went to check in and stood... More

This is an excellent place to stay. The windows were dusty from the outside - but then it is West Texas, and I understood. However, I brought it to the attention of the desk clerk and he promptly noted it down as a "To do" item. I was impressed by the place. It is very nice. If you arrive in... More

I very much agree with the review of superevangelist. This is a basic but adequate hotel. We just arrived from the Hyatt Regency in Dallas for a rate not much higher than for the Ashmore. That is really another standard. Regarding the Ashmore: large room with good bed and sofa. Clean with basic bathroom. Old TV, HBO has a lot... More

Why this hotel receives rave reviews is beyond me. Is it bad? No. Is it superb? Definitely not. Everything about it is average. Average bed, average room, old tv. Much nicer places exist in Amarillo. More
