This is a very cute & well maintained old hotel. It is in a good location close to restaurants & shops. The Columbia is wonderful treat in the center of Ashland. If you need a modern cookie cutter hotel with wide screen TV, plastic furniture and plants, and private bathroom, this might not be the place for you. On the plus side, this is a great central location with some limited parking available (don't leave your spot if you are fortunate enough to get one!). Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We'd rather stay at the Columbia Hotel than anywhere else in Ashland. Convenient to the theatres, good parking, right in walking distance to everything and with really interesting helpful staff. Other guests are "in the know" about what constitutes the good life and easy to visit with. Wish there were more places like the Columbia Hotel.

The location, the price, the funky furniture, and the friendly staff make this a delightful stay for one night. I have been several times, and will return. Bathroom across the hall is no problem. Parking is fine. No TV, but I can live without it for one night. Nice to have free Wi-Fi.
