Yup.....travelling North checking out mostly Motel 6's due to Furkidz. Very pleasantly surprised when we pulled in last night. Clean, clean with usual fridge and microwave. WIFI free and it worked! This place has much larger rooms than most Motel 6 motels I've been to. The king rooms have room for a large desk plus small table with 2 chairs, plus a small refrigerator & microwave. The lady at reception is the first indication that they care about their property first and foremost. Strict instructions were provided about how to park, the do's and don'ts. People may find it offensive but it sets expectation. This is not catered for partyers. The room is very clean and bathroom is spotless.

Hotel staff were friendly, professional, grounds and rooms were clean and everything worked. Sure, it's beside the highway and I found it a little noisy, but not bad. All over this country Motel 6 advertises the price. It has been decades since they were $6. But the one in Albany, Oregon does not. It is akin to a service station without a large price sign. We had friends stay there and now we know why they do not advertise price as most othe Motel 6's do.

We always stay at the Motel 6 in Albany. It is a spotless property and has a lovely park right next door to it. It is away from the freeway, but an easy return onto it when you need to leave. We've been staying here now for 5 years whenever we take the I-5 south to sunnier climates.
