A lovely hostel with friendly staff who will help you plan your visit. The dorm and bathroom were always clean and there's free tea, coffee and water all day. Theres also a free breakfast which includes cereal or toast. It's quite small which is the only downside if you want to meet fellow backpackers. I had a great stay here... More

After reading such good reviews we were surprised and disappointed by what we found. We found the staff to be unfriendly, apart from the young Indonesian woman who made the effort to talk to us. It felt like they didn't want us there and any time we asked for information or help they couldn't wait to get rid of us.... More

Went there with a friend for a short stay. The host Sofie (not really sure if its the correct pronunciation) was really really nice coz she has made our stay so comfortable and moving around was so easy. The room was cozy, the bed is comfortable and the most important thing is that the bathrooms n toilets are so clean...actually... More

Would recommened this place. Might be worth booking in advance. Staff are super friendly. People that I met here nice. Highlight - The resident cat Speedy. They had kittens as I was leaving also so probably all kinds of furry awesomeness there now. The group room has air con. Sweet air con. I think the private room doesnt so be... More

This backpackers lodge has friendly helpful staff, a simple self service breakfast or cornflakes and toast. The lounge area is its greatest assest with a reading corner and tv area with hundreds of DVD's to choose from. I was a little confused why so many guests chose to sit on the floor of the dorm to surf the web and... More

I have stayed at Red Palm several times, and have since my first stay liked it. They offer good bunkbeds in a small dorm for a very good price, they also have some private rooms, but I have always stayed in the dorm and have been happy with that. Looker for your valuable stuff outside the room. The location is... More

Nestled not far from Bukit Batang and its' excellent street food and bar scene, Red Palm strives to make all their guests (mostly backpackers) feel right at home. At only 30 Ringgit (~$10 USD) for a dorm bed, with shared bath and air-con, it is a great deal. Coffee, tea and cereal is also included. It is also safe, given... More

What a gem, the staff are so friendly & go to the extend to remember names, open for a chat, said goodbye before shift ends & introduce everyone new to the other house guests. They really do make you feel at home. The common room is well equipped. The dorm room & bathrooms were simple but adequate for a budget... More

We stayed here 2 nights when we were in Kuala Lumpur. Late arrival and early wake up is not a problem. The breakfast is ok, you can take it in kitchen and the staff is really helpful, they even booked a bus for us in advantage.

This was the first place I stayed at the start of a six month trip. I stopped for three nights in the single room, which is right at the top of the house, with shared bathroom. It's comfortable enough, clean, and the hosts (Sophie and team) are very friendly and always ready to help out if you have questions or... More
