We stayed with Ian , Sybilia & Juno for a week. We had a spacious room (not that obvious in Japan!), with very comfortable futons, free wi-fi and a lovely tea & coffee station... The breakfast was great and they were very thoughtfull about different diet requests. Staying there was not like staying in a hotel where you just eat... More

The property is about 20 minutes by bus from central Kyoto but the stop is 20m from the front door so the trip is an easy one. It is just 5 minutes walk from the north end of the philosopher's path and first temple. The accomodation is traditional and charming. Your hosts are welcoming and willing to share their local... I stayed at the B & B Juno for the last three days of my first trip to Japan (solo) and I loved it! Clean, helpful, fun, friendly, welcoming are just the start of things I would say about this lovely location! My goal was a relaxing base to jump off to visiting all the things in Kyoto I wanted... I stayed here with some friends in June 2012. B&B Juno is one of the best Bed & Breakfast guesthouse i have ever stayed. Location B&B Juno is located near to the Silver Pavilion. This is excellent as it lies in a quiet environment, far from the bustling noise of the city center. Yet, it is easily accessible to the... More

If you are searching for a quiet, small, traditional Japanese guest house away from the maddening crowd, this is for you. This is one of the best B&Bs I've ever stayed in. Ian and Sybilla's knowledge of Japanese culture, tourist sites, language and politics is huge and they are both charming! Their advice will save you a lot of time.... More

This is our 3rd trip to Kyoto & 1st time that we are not staying near Kyoto station.Suggestion is to buy a day bus pass so that its not a hassle to pay by exact coins everytime. As long as u travel more than twice by bus each day, its worth it. The location is actually convenient when u visit... More

Ian recommended great restaurants in all price ranges, handed out maps where he added notes according to what we were interested in, told us which busses to use and arranged maps for the public transportations in Kyoto, they also helped us with laundry, served an excellent breakfast which was a bit different every day. If you plan on staying at... More

We felt very welcome and the B and B is nicely located. Sybilla even kindly did some laundry for me when we were in a time crunch. It was nice having the bus stop so close and temples within walking distance. We were on a budget and this is a great value. Also, I loved having a break from rice... More

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at B&B Juno in June 2012 when we stayed for 7 nights. Ian and Sybilla are a wealth of information and truly make you feel at home. The house is beautiful and the rooms are extremely comfortable, and the free wi-fi was a great perk. Location is excellent in a quieter area... More

Sybilla and Ian are wonderful tourist and culture advisors, Our room was comfortable and the bath being downstairs was not a problem. We had the upstairs bathroom to ourselves two of the three nights, and, the other night shared it with only one other person. It would have been nice to have hot water in the bathroom upstairs, but not... More
