Very close to Kyoto Station - which has plenty of well priced meals. Free Wi-Fi in room, staff very helpful - Our room overlooked the Train lines - the noise was not a problem. Heavy curtains and double glazed windows.

You can't beat the location or the quality of service. Tremendous staff and excellent breakfast (included in room rate). There is wi-fi but only in the lobby and it doesn't activate until 7 am for unknown reasons. Dozens of decent restaurants in the RR station malls, especially Porta. Best of all the windows open!
