I went there with my daughter. We stayed at the Japanese style room and we both love it so much. Food is great. Service is amazing. And the spa is super relaxing - just a bit pricey. (私は娘と一緒に行きました。 私たちは和室に泊まり、二人ともそれをとても気に入りました。 食べ物は素晴らしいです。 サービスは素晴らしいです。 そして、スパはとてもリラックスできる-ほんの少し高価です。)

Very comfortable and relaxing stay. Room was clean and spacious with welcome chocolate. Great onsen with indoor and outdoor. Food for dinner and breakfast were delicious and the portion was more than enough for me and my husband. I will visit this place again!

when i make a reservation there was not any imformation about smoking room. when i arrive they said my reservation was smoking room and cannot change room. room was full of smoking smells and i could not sleep well. Staff did not speak English well and food also not good enough. They serve course dinner but it similar to french but mixed with Chinese or Japanese.. potion was small and cannot feel any Japanese so not suitable place who want to feel Japanses style. Compare to my expirience in Kyoto trip, this place is terrible. i never recommend this place.again.

We purposely avoided the much larger (even though lower cost) Jozankei View hotel and such, and instead chose Suichokan for its intimate, quiet and low key atmosphere. Taylor to only adult ladies or couples, the place is extremely relaxed and tranquil. Service level extremely high. The rooms are of minimalist design, elegant yet under stated. We had a Japanese tatami room with smoking allowed but still the room smelled fresh. There were no shower/bath in the room since guests are using them at the onsens downstairs at B1. Both ladies and men area each has an indoor onsen as well as an outdoor one, in addition to the steam room for a great sweat. Spa facilities was up on the 2nd floor. Note there was no WIFI available as the place. Only a landline laptop in the common area is hooked up to the Internet. The included dinner and breakfast were both fantastic. Complement to the chef to create these new-fusion Japanese cuisine. The included private shuttle bus pickup/dropoff from Sapporo Odori park (Subway exit 1) was much appreciated as well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Suichokan for a romantic experience at a Japanese Onsen, near Sapporo no less.

The staff including the restaurant staff are very friendly and helpful. The atmostphere of the hotel, including the common areas, makes you feel completed relaxed. The rooms are very spacious. I loved the desserts they left in the fridge every night.

This is a hotel for a lady. When I'm not with my wife, a man can't stay overnight. The dish you eat at this hotel is low in calories, but there are a lot of volumes. Of course, it's a good dish. It would hope makes a reservation and that you take a bath in a reserved bathroom beforehand.

Suichokan is a calm place: definitely Japanese, but also very different from the experience of a typical traditional ryokan. Service was gracious and unhurried. The earth-toned furnishings, selection of European brand amenity kits, and New Age background music evoked memories of Marin County, CA. My travel partner volunteered that Suichokan was her favorite stay of the three ryokan of our Hokkaido road trip. The water quality of the public baths felt great, and the rotenburo (outdoor bath) was just the right temperature for a prolonged soak. The included meals were delicious Japan-meets-West fusion mash-ups. Happily the portion sizes were sufficient but not excessive (as so often happens at ryokan). For breakfast, you pre-order from a selection of ingredients (e.g. smoked salmon, raw ham, shrimp, potato salad) to incorporate into small make-your-own sandwiches. Also, and for the first time ever in Japan, my breakfast plate included a decent-tasting bagel! One nit: Suichokan offers no Internet access -- doubtless a deliberate, calm-invoking choice on the proprietor's part, but painful for travelers like me who depend on it to plan the next day's itinerary. Fortunately, though, you are welcome to use free Wifi in the lounge of a nearby sister property located just down the street.

My first stay in suichokan was really an unforgetable onsen trip i have ever had. The hospitality this hotel provided is more than Excellent!! Rooms are spacious, with massage chair and welcome chocolate for guests. 5 minutes Walk to the suspension bridge. Onsen and hot stone - were great .. The package i booked was reasonable with full body massage and facial and this is good especially for mother and daughter. Foods were delicious and presentation of the food were remarkable !! I will visit this place again if i ever travel to Hokkaido during winter holiday.

I chose this hotel since it has no smoking room and bed(not tatami). But this hotel was better than this. First , when we dropped from bus, the staff asked us what hotel we stay. And soon the staff take us to Spa&Esthetique翠蝶館 from bus stop. This was very good service for us since it was raining on that day. On checking time, all of the staff were very kindly. I like the tea on checking time, it was very delicious. My Japanese is not very well, so I confused the ticket for breakfast. But staff was also very kindly to explain this. The room was very good, also the food was delicious, and service was very nice. The day I stayed on this hotel was a very good experience. Thanks for all of the staff in Spa&Esthetique翠蝶館. I will introduce my friend and come here for next time.
