once reserved for the political and military elite of china, you recieve grandois structures and people serving you right. where the hotel falls short are the 'little things' that management pinches from you.
great grounds, concierge, front desk, housekeeping and spa.... cold pool, a little run down older rooms in 'older section', and very smalll rooms in 'new section'.

We arrived, and the lobby seemed so depressing. It was big and roomy,
but there were very few people there, and it did not seem to be a very welcoming place.
