Booked a deluxe double room but was upgraded to a non-smoking executive room (if I remember correctly on 16/F). This was a spacious and clean room. It has two sofa chairs, a desk with chair and inhouse coffee / tea facilities. Got an upgrade to a 'real' non-smoking room without any problem. Luckily because the deluxe double room was not... More

Stayed for 2 nights in Dec and the location is very near to Xihu. It's close to shopping which is Ya nan Road and just behind the hotel is the famous night market. There's are also a foot massage and body massage centre which gives good price. The rooms are pretty old fashion eventhough its labelled as 5-star but the... More

Hangzhou is a very beautiful city, but gets pretty cold in winter. The Huachen International Hotel was warm and comfortable, even luxurious. Rooms serviced every day. Great hot shower with fog free mirror in bathroom. I left cash and valuables strewn around the room (I know that is not the right thing to do but often had little time to... More

Stayed for two night in August 2011, for $95 per night (via Orbitz, with taxes). Overall, reasonably happy. Located about 10 minutes walk from West Lake, in a fairly generic downtown/shopping area in Hangzhou. Room was spacious and fairly clean, with hard beds as is common in China, but I like it that way. Staff was friendly but did not... More

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel because we wanted a quick getaway from Shanghai and read the reviews on TripAdvisor. It was in fact quite reasonably priced (I paid about $65) and less than a ten minute walk to Hubin Street where there are a lot of things happening. The lobby and rooms were pretty nice but there... We spent 2 nights at the hotel in late May. We chose the hotel based on tripadvisor reviews and we were very satisfied with our choice. The reception was pleasant and efficient. The room was clean and well equipped. I liked the fact that there was a retractable clothes line in the bathroom. We ate in the hotel restaurant for... More

I was pleased with the hotel. Good breakfast buffet on the19th floor restaurant terrace, with a view of the lake, was a nice start to the day. The buffet dinner was pricey but good. Within walking distance to the lake and all the attractions in that area. Good service, including the bowl of fruit in the room. The managers on... More

on the plus side..great location for west lake,,,but no view, very clean, and excellent breakfast...on the not so good..and what ruined it for me and my family..the beds are very very uncomfortable..i swear a bed of nails would be less painful, we had a room overlooking the main road and work seemed to start at 5am and like most places... We slept in hotel for 3 nights, in 'family' room (bigger with one double and one single bed). Location is good, near to West lake (up to 10' by walk). Hotel stuff is ok, we could understood each other :) Perfect breakfast buffet (chinese, korean, western) with nice lake view. No problem to go there again. More
