This place isn't a hostel, its more like a b&b with hostel prices.
My room was big and clean, and since the buildings are tucked down a quiet side street there isn't much noise from outside. The only problem is that the bathroom is a wetroom and very small so everything gets wet when you use it.
Airport pickups/transfers were...

Stayed 3 nites here before and after our Yangshuo trip, good location and walking distance to the main shopping street. The hostel is located in a small lane, overlooking the 'tao hua' river, simple n clean room but the TV channels are limited. They changed us to a better room as we found our room toilet had some worms running...

the staff at this hostel is incredible, must be the best we've ever seen. they just went above and beyond their job description and helped us in every possible thing. also the food that they bring from the restaurant across the street is delicious. the rooms were pretty nice for a hostel, but it was the service that totally won...

This is a budget level hotel but at stunningly low rates (about $25 per night). Beds are firm and facilities spartan but adequate. Shower area includes the toilet. No wash cloths (common in China). A good western breakfast is made to order for a modest 25 RMB. A 10 minute walk to the lake-pogoda area. 5 minutes to the bus...

Stayed 2 nights here.
The 1st night was in the family room (1 queen size bed+1 single bed) which is normally for 3 pax. I went with my old folks and my brother, so i asked for an extra bed for myself. Funny thing happened. When we go got back to the hostel after 10pm at night.
While we were...

Stayed at this hotel during a trip to Yangshuo in August 2011. The staff is nice, the rooms are big and comfy and the hotel is well located with a nice terrace overlooking the river. And most importantly the hotel is quiet which is a luxury in China.
Of course this is not a high end hotel at all but...

Having stayed in small hostel dorms, and characterful places for the start of the trip, we were grateful for this peaceful air con cooled hotel. The room was huge, and I think almost all of them look out on the river, though there isn't really anywhere to sit out there.
It wasn't a bustling place, and we normally had to...

The room is very clean & spacious.Within walking distance to Elephant Trunk Hill (15min), Train & Bus Station (15min), Zheng Yang Predestrian Street (30 min).
Guilin is just a base for Yangshuo & Longji Rice Terrance.

We have spent one night in Riverside Hostel in Guilin and it's a very good deal (220 yuans for a double room with river view). The rooms are clean, big, with A/C and free wifi. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful (organization of airport pick up on demand), and speaks English. Centrally located in a lively part of...
