i stayed in this hotel in last October in Canton fair time, i got very good rate through expedia. very good location, metro station cross street, starbucks, pizza hut, subway, and grocery just next to it, they have 3 restaurants serving HALAL food- but no room service available, the offer a free shuttle to the exhibition, front desk people speaking... We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, especially given the mediocre reviews from past reviewers. Our room was very clean, comfortable (despite the Chinese beds, which is standard around these parts), and in a happening neighbourhood great for people watching and very close to the subway system. The Bostan is a very good, very nice hotel conveniently located in Guangzhou. The staff were very friendly, and I was provided with a spacious room with good air-con. The bed was quite comfortable, and the TV provided good local viewing (in English) as well as some satellite channels.
