This place was actually turned out to be better than I expected. The breakfast was nice, the room was nice, and me and my friend bought a wine to drink at our room, and the kitchen had the cork screw and the wine glasses...... my problems was that staff didn't speak that much English.....but....you know my fault for not speaking... NIce place to stay in St. Petersburg center. Subway close by, bus is nearby. Lot of shops and restaurants are in the area. Winter Place is about 30 min walk or short subway ride. Rooms are small, but clean. Service is good.

A small hotel with friendly staff. The breakfast was a little bit poor. Be warned there is no normal lift in this hotel which made carrying heavy suitcases up lots of stairs very difficult. There are fridges/mini bars in the rooms.

Price is affordable (100 euros for double after getting 10% with booking online), location is central, service is great. The breakfast is continental, but even all those small packages of meat and cheeses kept us full till 3 pm.
