Easy to find, this small hotel offers what it says on the packet "Central Guest House" Our reception was very good - Nadelle (?) welcomed us and answered our questions, sorted out dinner reservations in two different restaurants in town for our 2 night stay. We did not see the owner during our stay. It is only a 10 minute... More

We arrived in the afternoon and was welcomed by Jockel. We had a normal room and the family cottage. The house is really decorated with attention to detail, a fruit bowl, nice wine selection, sherry for aperitif (this is based on a honesty bar principle) and with so few rooms you really feel like making yourself at home in the... We had an overnight stop here en route from Damaraland to Sossusvlei. The room was nice, we were upstairs. We had the best breakfast of cinnamon pancakes the next morning, nicest breakfast we had on our trip actually. The owner of the guesthouse is a lovely woman who had a long chat with my husband and I the day we... More

We stayed here just one night in the comfy & very clean family room. The owner Monica was very welcoming & friendly. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast with made to order eggs, yummy carrot bread, & the guava & passion fruit jams were amazingly fresh & delicious! We stayed at this really homely guesthouse for two nights, located in a residential area. The owners are so welcoming, rooms are spacious and breakfast is lovely! You can easily walk to the seafront or into town in less than 10 minutes. Secure parking is also available and the staff can arrange excursions on your behalf.

My wife and I are from the US, and we thought this place was great. Really fantastic, modern rooms, and a terrific breakfast. Internet was too slow to work, but otherwise everything was terrific. No A/C, but you don't need that in Swakop. Like most places in Swakop it seems, when you book a double bed you actually get two... More

The Central Guesthouse is a very nice and modern guesthouse in a convenient area of Swakopmund. After several days touring the Namibian deserts it was a real joy to return to the much cooler temperatures and lovely sea air of Swakopmund.  We were warmly greeted by Verna who, throughout our unfortunately short stay of only two nights, was incredibly kind... Dear NotTooLate from Canada Thank you so very much for your wonderful review. Swakopmund has a lot to offer and hearing someone say that it's one of their favorite parts... More

We stayed with our adult sons for 3 nights in September 2011. The building is austere from outside, but is very nice indeed inside and spotless. We were helped to choose restaurants for dinner, reservations made... More

This exceeded our expectations on all counts. Very welcoming and helpful staff, convenient setting to walk to the restaurants and the sea front.
