We were looking for a natural island that hasn't been surrounded by water bungalows. Makunudu fulfilled this perfectly. It's peaceful and unspoiled, with plenty of wildlife, including cute hermit crabs, lizards and herons. The highlight for me was snorkelling on the house reef. We'll be back!
