dark, dingy rooms, hotel lacked charisma or business feel and staff were not very helpful. Very expensive compared the lovely hostel we stayed at just down the road which was far better value for money - don't follow the guide books and go to Borneo Hotel, it's not worth it!

We only stayed 1 nigt in this hotel even though we had booked 2 nights. We went to Kuching during the International music festival, which meant that most hotels were fully booked and we had to pay the full 130RM (without breakfast) for our room as the hotel would not offer any discount. We found this hotel in our guide books and were initially quite pleased with our selection. We stayed here four nights. The room with two double beds was clean, the beds quite comfortable, the air conditioning efficient at drying out the room and keeping it bearable, the bathroom clean and modern, and the staff very friendly and helpful.
