My wife and I just returned from 3 days, 2 nights, at Batu Batu - don't think we've had an easier and more enjoyable weekend away, and we've lived in the region for awhile now. The drive from Singapore isn't too long and is somewhat scenic (if you like palm plantations), the boat transfer is fast and the island and... More

3 hours easy drive from Singapore and a short boat trip and you're in a modern, sophisticated resort on a beautiful small island or its own. The rooms are great. Service was great too. The food was a little disappointing because we had high expectations. The house red wine was very good at a reasonable price. We didn't have any... More

Just returned from a lovely weekend at Batu Batu, only marred by a massive storm on Sunday morning which prevented us from diving. Arrived Saturday lunch time from Singapore - an easy transfer by cab and then a 20 minute boat ride. Having just spent a few days in Bali looking for beaches and fine diving, and being disappointed, I... More

What a stunning destination. The island and sea are so beautiful and untouched. The accommodation is 'less is more' , comfortable and rustic which adds to the appeal and experience. The food is fantastic and cleverly done. You have the choice to just relax but the pool or on the beautiful beaches or scuba dive, snorkel, paddle board, kayak. Something... More

Lovely setting and so elegant! Architecture a delight. Food brilliant. Staff and guests delightful. But oh... The biting things! Days later I'm still covered in itches... Rows of them! Certainly not mosquitoes... Warning! Take gallons of RID.. And don't expect to be cool at night... Aircon far too small for villa. And children's meals very slow... Ok for adults... Delightful,... This place is delightful! A fantastically beautiful island, aesthetically pleasing design and really attentive owners. Just a short drive from Singapore, you can swim with turtles, jump off the jetty into azure seas and kayak around the island, tired from that, you can then laze by the pool or on your villa balcony and soak up the views and the... My family of three spent (7 year old child) three days in Batu Batu in late March 2013. I have read the comments here on Tripadvisor. I think that many of the positive and negative are true, but the negative comments are (with some exceptions) are not fair because I don’t think they are properly put into context. Here is... More

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay in Batu Batu on Tengah Island. A beautiful island which is only a 2.5 hour drive from Singapore (without traffic) plus a 20 minute boat ride. We loved the beaches (Long Beach is the best) and the infinity pool. We rented a kayak and snorkels (both very cheap to do),... More

I went to Batu Batu one my own and had a very relaxing time. My bungalow was amazing and hearing the sound of the waves breaking underneath was a real plus. I've truly enjoyed my 4 days, spending time between the pool and various amazing beaches (specially if you take the time to walk around the island or even do... More
