I have been to Japan for 3 times and this ryokan really gave me the worst experience in Japan and ruined my trip this time. Me and my friends (3 females) booked this ryokan according to the reviews and we booked through booking.com from 1st of June to 3rd of June. We arrived there 7:30 pm 1st of June, right... More

We paid about 50 euros for this traditional Japanese Inn - and that included breakfast for both of us. So pretty incredible value for money. It's not a very luxurious place, and we didn't have private bath rooms, but the genuine Japanese experience that a Ryokan offers more than made up for that. Highly recommended! Also very well located in... More

Entirely OK, not new at all, ryokan. Decent ambiance, friendly people running the place. I could sleep pretty well there; together, the tatami mats and the futon were soft enough (which was not always the case elsewhere in Japan) to make sleep pleasant. Nice air; quiet. 8-10 minutes walk from the Hakata JR station (Shinkansen), 14 to the other downtown... More

Perfect base to visit Fukuoka. Nice big rooms, all with a touch of tradition. Closets with antiques and wooden parquets. Nice public bath. We ddn't experience the breakfast but we saw it's served in a big common room, typical of many ryokans. During our stay many Japanese students were there also making it lively and even more local. Obviously if... More

This was a good experience, it seemed genuin with lots of Japanese guests. The rooms were big and well equipped and sleeping mats comfy. The bathing area cool, but overall it was pretty warn around the edges, but it was cheaper too than other places.

This place is an old Japanese ryokan, so if you want a genuine Japanese experience this is a good place to stay. We had a large room, with both a Japanese and a western style table. It was spacy so we could easily put away our suitcases where they were not in our way. There was a fridge, we had... More

This Ryokan is great value for money, in a traditional wooden building with public baths, not far from the central station with easy access to the subway. It has a little Japanese courtyard in the middle. We had a large tatami mat room with futons on sleep on. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean, comfy and safe,... More

I only stayed one night here but wished i had stayed more. Its location is central and walking distance from the Jr station so next time i visit, i will use it as a base to see the neigbourhing prefectures. The room is spotless, big, well apointed and comes in autumn with a kotatsu under the table (i loved this).... More

Traditional Japanese-style ryokan. Take off your shoes when you enter and put on the slippers. Big, long creaky hallways, but clean and comfy. Very friendly owner and night manager - both speak a little bit of English. ROOM. Stayed in one of the family rooms. Very roomy. Air conditioning, television with a dozen or so Japanese channels, mini-fridge, yukata robes.... More

my family stayed at this ryokan for 2 nights. the location was quite good, though it was tucked in some small alley. there was a shrine right across the ryokan, and it is walkable distance to canal city and tenjin. there is also a supermarket right across the main street. right outside the ryokan on the opposite side is a...
