General  Holkaido is in winter great for skiing, in summer very pleasant in comparison to hot Tokyo.  The view from the Hakodate mountain on the city is really nice, under condition it is not foggy up there. We stay one night at Chikuba Shinyotai. They're welcome us warmly when check in, and serve Japanese dessert & fine green tea in our room. We stay at east wing ground floor, room has nice garden view.
