It wasn't the hotel's fault really, but we made the mistake of driving directly to the hotel which is in the middle of the old city (a tangle of narrow, pedestrian, one-way streets, half of which you can't drive down). When you pay a huge money for a room smaller than my bathroom at home, that could of course become a chaotic. In 30 years of business and personal travel, not sure Ive stayed in a smaller room. Returned on thursday 27.9.12. hotel exellent, relaxed feel,warm friendly staff, breakfast was still available at mid day. Tucked away in a quiet side street is the grand house of the hotel. The service is friendly and excellent, super clean, the pool refreshing and just generally a really nice place To stay. Yes the rooms aren't huge, but why would you spend all your time in a room when you have that gorgeous garden?

What a treasure this little inn is. The rooms are small but beautifully appointed, the outside patio is lovely (breakfasts are lovely), and the pool is a welcome haven to relax in.
