This was the 3rd time I've been here, and every time the experience is excellent. Ideally located not far from the CBD. Wonderful surroundings, great pool-bar, a large variety oat the buffet. Simple but delicious a la carte menu. But most of the all, the view from the 6th floor. Right in front of Mount Meru. One negative though; receptionists... More

We were in Arusha for the East Africa Academy @ Arusha inaugural and what better way than check-in at Mount Meru after a rather intense week? We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel despite being old, had been recently renovated and the facilities were very modern and consistently done. The view around the hotel was also rich ... the Mount... More

Great place to start or end a trip in and around Arusha. Nicest hotel (not a game lodge) I have seen on the continent. Modern, immaculate, great staff, good food. If I can talk my wife into a trip to Tanzania, we will stay at Mount Meru at least one night.

I stayed at the Mount Meru Hotel while I visited the Nelson Mandela University (and prior to safari). Mount Meru Hotel was exceptionally clean and modern; much more luxury than I might have anticipated. Breakfasts were excellent and other occasional meals that were at the hotel were very good. Service was excellent. The hotel had wonderful outside seating that provided... More

The hotel has picturesque surroundings and is quite close to the airport. The service and the staff were excellent and were very courteous and welcoming. The food was good but could have been better. The rooms were quite decent. The fitness center could have been much better though.

This hotel meets the standards of a typical business hotel around the world. It is nicer than the average hotel in Africa without a doubt. The room was clean and everything operated. There were upscale toiletries and a great view. The food in the restaurants was good, and the meeting rooms were good. Had to ask for a project to... More

Apart from the usual niceties and comforts one would expect from a US$150 per night hotel such as this, the staff really make this hotel special. From the reception staff who greeted us with warm kiSwahili welcomes and the cleaning staff who supplied more than enough goodies in the rooms, to the concierge who waved us goodbye at a still... I was here in November 2012 my wife was Graduating from ESAMI and I booked online with days to the event and I was impressed by their quick response. Upon my arrival, I was immediately wowed by the look of the lobby. Its modern and really swanky. The front desk staff were fantastic, showed me to my room and I... More

I stayed at this hotel for one night during my Tanzania trip on business. My costs were covered by my company, so this review does not concern cost-related matters. The first thing that striked me was the grandieur of this hotel - I loved how it looked from the outside and also the decor of the lobby. The second thing... More

I found the Mount Meru Hotel staff to be very friendly and the hotel itself was very nice. When you enter through the security gates you feel like you are in a different world (almost) to what is just outside the gates. It's much like a resort/hotel you would find in more developed countries. The food was pretty good, rooms... More
