We stayed here a couple of times and our experience was always positive, we love the lush garden and the friendly staff taking care of all we are asking for. The food is very nice and we like to take our dinner at the swimming pool. (see picture)The swimming-pool is out of the world with amazing views from both mt.... More

would not recommend this hotel at all. our safari company had recommended another place but since our flt was at 4am in the morning, we requested somewhere closer to the airport. we wished our last night was at a different place. we arrived and were used to having full lodge and board so were surprised when told dinner was $25.00.... Our Kilimanjaro outfitter booked me a day room as part of the trip package. Had two hours to spend at this lodge before going to the airport for my evening departure to Amsterdam on KLM. Despite zero activity (I mean ZERO) in the reception area, it took the desk 30 minutes to find my reservation, supposedly made by the premier... More

We have stayed in the KIA lodge two times before and always liked it. This lodge is located just 3 minutes away from the airport. After a long flight it is nice not to have to drive an hour to an hotel. The hotel is simple but clean and the staff is very friendly. You sleep in Masai shaped cabins... More

This hotel is only worth staying at if you have to have the convenience of being close to the airport. We had two rooms recently. Both had the A/C remotes missing (so you couldn't turn them on). They won't leave the remotes with you . And we were only able to get one room working. We had to make do... More

We used Kia Lodge as a day room. We only had a couple of hours, just too much for waiting on the airport and too short to pay so much money for what resulted in bad service and broken facilities. When we arrived they couldn’t find our reservation and we had to wait like 20 minutes before we got our... More

We stayed one night after long flight to avoid night driving to Arusha. Free transfer from airport was included. The cabins are ok, not luxurious. The breakfast was good but had to be shared with million flies. The hotel is a bit pricey compared to Arusha hotels. Staff is friendly and helpful. No problems with aircraft noise.

The hotel is located in the backyard of the airport so it's perfect for a one night stay if you arrive late and are not familiar with the area. If it is not foggy you can catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro. The rooms are alright, a little rough on the edges, but with some nice furniture. Our mosquito nets had... More

Nice place if there's power. Because of the power cut there was no airco, internet, many food on menu not available and still charging the full price. This with a generator available and not used. Bad service, food simple and overpriced. Pool and bar were nice.

Kia Lodge is incredibly convenient when you get off an evening plane into Arusha. The rooms were OK and the bed reasonably comfortable and clean. We arrived a night early to recover from the long flight before hiking Kilimanjaro, so we had two rooms for two nights. The staff was uneven, the food was OK and all seemed kind of... More
