I stayed here before and after my climb on Mt Kilimanjaro. Had an amazing time in this place, the whole area is really big with lots of greenery, and yet hardly any mosquitoes (surprisingly). Of course as a few other reviewers have mentioned, you get to see the animals here, especially the dik-diks, lovely cute little creatures these are. If... More

Spent two nights here after our safari. It was a great place to chill and relax. The gardens are stunning and we enjoyed exploring them and watching the dik diks and birds. Rooms are basic and need a bit of TLC but are fine. The lodge is beautiful and decorated so nicely! The odd part was the "vibe" in the... More

A nice getaway from Arusha with an interesting garden and well manicured grounds. I have visited twice just for lunch and the dishes have always been quite tasty. Recently we had a small problem where 2 of us ordered the same dish, but one was a significantly smaller portion-size. We brought this to the attention of the waitress who alerted... More

We spent one night at this lodge before starting our safari. It was nothing special but adequate for a short time. The grounds are very nice and breakfast was fine. Would only go back as a starting or ending point for a safari.

Arumeru is a good, but not exciting lodge, located between the International Airport and Arusha. The rooms are quite nice, without being anything special. Likewise the grounds, whilst not extensive are pleasant and now well established. The food and service are fine, not the best on our trip, but nevertheless perfectly ok. The River aspect in the title may give... More

I've stayed at the Arumeru River Lodge three times over the last three years. The lodge and staff has gotten better over the three years. The grounds are wonderful with a beautiful refreshing swimming pool, exotic plants and dik dik and guinea fowl running around freely. When you arrive you are usually met with cold drinks and warm towels as... More

Arumeru River Lodge is, as others have said, an oasis. It is an oasis of luxury from the rather downbeat housing and landscape which most Tanzanians encounter every day just outside the gated property and one should be grateful for the privilege of staying in such a place. Of course, it provides employment and no doubt income for the extended... More

We spent one night and a full day at Arumeru on either end of our safari. It was a delightful place to crash after the long flights to get there and a great place from which to start our safari in Tarangire. We had a day room to clean up and prepare to leave from KIA on our last night... More

The lodge is friendly and comfortable with lots of cultural activities and hikes offered and can be arranged quickly, so it is nice for a couple of days before or after your safari. The rooms are half king and half twin plus 1 family room and 6 suites, Suites are 50% larger with patio on the front and back. The... More

We stayed at the Arumeru River Lodge for two nights after arriving from KIA airport and recovering from jet lag before we began our Northern Tanzania safari. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, with dik dik wandering the grounds and spectacular landscaping. The cottage was only mediocre -- of small but adequate size, it looked like it sorely needed refurbishing. It... More
