A nice friendly place, great rooms, very friendly staff. Ample mosquito nets (not the cocoon type!). The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and a broad range of meals prepared with care, no "slap and dash" here. All round a very nice place to rest for the night. The only complaint was our shower failed to provide hot water, which on... More

We have been many times over the past four years as our get out of Moshi place to stay. Granted this is the down season for tourists and the time for doing renovations etc.. The pool was dirty and the whole pool area in a run down condition compared with previous visits. There was a new accomodation block and generally... More

A very good budget choice in Arusha located in the former residence of Bernhard Grzimek (‘Serengeti shall never die’). Not far from the city center but in a quiet area with lots of green. Basic but very comfortable rooms offering just what you need. Small swimming pool and a very good bar (especially the coffees and iced tea). Free wi-fi.... More

I had heard from friends about The Outpost but never had reason to stay until last night - I was really very pleasantly surprised and it was just what I needed. The rates are very reasonable given what it provides and there a many of those little extras which help to make your stay more comfortable which you would not... More

Great place to stay before and after climbing up Kili.Stayed end of Feb/start of March. It was basic but inexpensive and clean. The rooms were basic but comfortable and we had plenty of hot water for showers which was lovely after a week up Kili.Stayed in the two storey rooms. The public areas were clean and the food in the... More

Myself and a friend stayed at the Outpost for 2 days before and 2 days after our Kilimanjaro climb. We were in one of the older rooms for the first stay and the room was a good size, clean and a little dated but very comfortable. We were in one of the newly refurbished rooms for the second stay and... More

A small hotel in a busy city. The rooms are mainly in individual small cabins in a secure garden. The one we stayed in had a nice double bed with 4 poster mosquito net. The room had a separate shower and toilet, small TV and adequate storage. The hotel has a semi- outdoor bar and dining area. Breakfast (included) was... More

We came down from our Kilimanjaro summit trek one day early and needed an inexpensive place to stay. This place worked out really well. Very nice, large room. Pretty grounds. Free computer use and wi-fi. Pleasant out-door dining. I heard barking dogs, but I also did not turn on the air-conditioner, which would probably have drowned them out. It was... More

Enjoyed our pre-safari stay here with just one complaint- the mosquito net over the bed turned out to have some large holes, so sleep was disturbed by numerous bites. For that reason decided to stay elsewhere on the way back through Arusha.

We came here after the safari for one night only, because the next day we already left for Mount Meru. The hotel is cheap but the rooms are very comfortable. There is a nice pool with a pool bar and deck chairs. Perfect to relax! Staff is friendly and helpful (- went out of their way to get our laundry... More
