Much has been said on these pages about the Yousung being in the middle of a shady red-light area. Well maybe it is but is it in your face? The most you can see from your hotel room is brightly lit advertisements on the sides of all the buildings in view but that could be said about pretty well any... More

We went to the Yousung Hotel on a family vacation to celebrate the new year. We arrived December 30 and left January 1. Highlights at the hotel for us were the pool and fitness center and it was located within about 10 miles of the different places we hoped to visit in Daejeon. Also the staff was pleasant and brushed... More

This is a good hotel, to be recommended. Location in the downtown is excellent, close to the river and its walking/running paths covering more than 20km along its embankments. The rooms are lovely and of nice proportion, making the stay very comfortable. Good bedding with all-white covers gives the jet-lagged traveler the well needed rest. The bathroom with tub is... More

This place is in the middle of the sex district for Daejeon. There were call girls being picked up right across from the hotel entrance. There were lots of places that had women for hire 24hours a day. It was more than any of the other hotels around, you had to pay for anything in the room, the swimming pool... More

After using the hot springs in the hotel, I asked reception how to get somewhere. They rudely asked me what is your room number and when I said I wasn't staying there, I just used the hot spring in their hotel which was quite obvious from my wet hair, they wouldn't help me. Even when I told them the reason... More

Stayed here for two nights for a business stay. Room was bit disappointing, old worn down furniture and smelled badly of tobacco smoke. Hotel supposedly has a good spa and location is good for visiting Kaist. Also, staff were friendly with good English. However, room itself was not so great, it might have been great 30 years ago, but this... More

fourth time here this year. It 's better than other reviewers seem to say, in my experience. As in all Daejeon hotels you pay for your toiletries; the hotel staff speak above standard English. The breakfast is a buffet, better than the next-door Riviera by far. The restaurants have all been good. Rooms are good sized but there are no... More

This hotel definitely did not meet my expectations. The lobby is very nice but the staff barely spoke English. My room was extremely small and very old looking. Bathroom was stained and you had to pay for every toiletry!!! Internet was free in the room. There was a desktop in the room or you can connect your laptop to a... More

Was at the hotel for 3 nights. The hotel room has two beds: a double and a single bed. The bathroom is small and the paint on the walls were peeling off. Everything in the room is chargeable so be careful what you take..even the shampoo, toothbrush etc. are all chargeable. the excuse is to protect the environment thus the hotel... More

After seeing the website and reading some reviews, I expected a lot of this hotel. The entrance and the hallways are shiny and nice, but the room was a bit disappointing. First of all, the room stank of smoke and I was told that there are no separate no-smoking rooms which may be typical of the area. However, I left... More
