This was my second visit in as many years. Continues to be as nice and comfortable as before. The reception counter is right at the entrance. Go up a level (up a couple of steps), and you enter a mango orchard. The tents are located in the shades of mango trees in rows along the two sides and the bottom... More

When we were planning our trip, we saw a lot of options to stay in Gir - some very highly priced and some very basic options, it was difficult to find a good mid budget option. For INR 5000 a night with food, its a decent option to stay. The tents are good, but because they are tents - you... More

Excellent location, comfortable semi-luxurious tents, plenty for the kids with TT, carom, pool table. Good food, they even arrange some cultural / tribal dance around a bon fire in the evening. Friendly helpful staff in the restaurant. Only the front desk has some attitude specially for the safari bookings. Its good to make the safari bookings well in advance else... More

An interesting location near the village and park entrance with a river/lake on its doorstep which gave scope for additional wildlife viewing. The tents were well set out, spacious, quite well appointed with comfortable beds. The food was adequate but lacked variety. The site lacked a proper lounge in which to relax. The staff initiated little interaction with guests. Still,... More

As part of BNHS Camp we visited Lion Safari Camp last summer. Even though it was extremely hot weather, our stay was pleasant. This is because the way entire camp is set up. There are mango trees all over. In fact each tent is in between 2 mango trees. So much so that if you one can even pluck a... More

The tent camp although it gives you a rustic look, it is wonderfully set out. Very functional. The beds are comfortable and the tent living gives you an unique experience. The water body just out of the camp gate is full of birds ....nature just out side your door. There is a crocodile too... The approach road to camp is... More

A lovely place with tents so it gives you a rustic, camp like feeling. The tents are basic but clean. Food is ok - repetitive menu. If u plan to read at night, carry portable reading lights, cause there is basic lighting not enough for reading. The safaris were truly an awesome experience. The day you book the hotel (... More

Beautiful, clean and luxurious indulgence in the midst of the wilderness. Tucked a little away from the main road, on the banks of the river Hiran, this camp style property provides everything that one looks for at the end of a long jeep safari ride. While the plants and innumerable flowers inside the property greets you warmly, the delectable food... More

Me and my husband stayed at this camp for 2 nights in March. The camp is located almost 5 kms off the main road (might be little difficult to find it), but the terrain resembles that of the actual safari. The tents are definitely luxurious (when you consider that it is located inside the forest range) with running hot/cold water,... More

My wife, children and I stayed at the Lion Safari Camp for 3 days as part of our vacation to Saurashtra. We booked the place through their office in Mumbai and reached the Camp from Somnath. The camp is located slightly off Sasan Gir town besides the Heran river, and it is advisable to travel there by a hired vehicle... More
