This hotel has 3 properties. The Governor Calvert property seems to have been updated, although it is the least convenient. The Maryland Inn is tired and old. Our suite had a walk-in closet with no light, there is no room service, there is no room in the bathroom for toiletries. We did have 2 window!! air conditioners which almost shook... More

Dear KathyKnoxville: Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you were not more pleased with your room at the Maryland Inn. All of our buildings have strong roots in the community and date back to the 1700’s. I mention this as a contributing factor and part of the reason for the window units that are used in that... More

My girlfriend and I had a pleasant stay here. The room was nice, comfortable, just a little outdated in terms of decor. It might not be the most romantic place for 30-somethings though unless you really enjoy history. The front desk staff were busy on the phones every time I walked up, I believe they were preparing for a very... More

I stayed at the Governor Calvert House, one of the Historic Inns of Annapolis properties in mid-April. The staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable there. They brought out more tea bags when the basket in the lobby was running low and made suggestions about places that I should visit. Every place was very convenient for... More

These little Inns are full of our country's history inside and out. Be sure to look around and read all of the interesting facts related to the Inns. We stayed in the Maryland Inn, so we had to check in at the Governor Calvert House, but our friendly valet driver took us to our building in our own car, so... More

Stayed at the Maryland Inn the weekend of March 22nd. This being our first trip to a Annapolis we wanted to be located downtown where we could walk to everything we needed. We went in with middle of the road expectations after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and that is pretty much what we got. After circling a few... More

Stayed in a suite at the Governor Calvert House. The bed was absolutely scrumptious and the room was very comfortably appointed. A fun place to stay when in Annapolis and within easy walking distance of most shops. The only disappointment was that coffee was not available in the room and the breakfast provided was mainly muffins and pastries.
