Seated between the city and the airport, my office was on the Carretera del Aeropuerto, the place is very convenient. The room was very clean, A/C and TV were OK. There is a free wi-fi access in the room if you ask for a day-ticket at the desk. The restaurant is OK, food quite good, unless the breakfast which is... More

I stayed in Bahia II, so they must be a success, setting up a chain?! Rooms are clean-ish (you can't expect much from a west african hotel) and I usually travel with a sheet sleeping bag just in case. Air conditioning worked, there was an english channel on TV (well, CNN) and a remote for the TV. The toilet flushed,... More

Have spent so far 6 days in the hotel (of a 10-day stay). Rating of above average = above average when compared to other local hotels. When compared to your "average" hotel in the third world, it can be said that rooms are cleaner than average. Spartan conditions: one TV with one (TVE) channel, functioning A/C, some wood furniture and... More

Hotel Bahia, is one of the best hotels in Malabo. I also tried Ureka which was equally good, but less expensive. Hotel Stella was more expensive but less good. Bahia rooms are clean, have nice balconies overlooking ocean and have tv with CNN. The restaurant is expensive but good and the waiters are very nice. More

Unless you work for a U.S. multi-national oil company, Malabo is well off your beaten path. The Bahia is one of about four hotels in Malabo, but is clearly the best, although "best" is a dubious distinction. The rooms are pure central africa...questionable locks and only marginally clean, but most times the air conditioner and TV works. Relative to your... More
