Stayed here as part of a tour of Arequipa & Colca Canyon. A few positives-the location, free wi-fi, good breakfast, good value. The rooms facing the street are indeed noisy ad the windows are single pane but we were here for two nights and it worked out for us.

You will have two different experiences in this hotel depending on which side are you staying. The back rooms face a relatively quiet turnaround street and the most sophisticated restaurant in the city. The rooms located in the front face a very noisy street that is the center of (late) nightlife of the city that is turned on at 9pm... More

Stayed here as part of an Intrepid group trip around Peru. This hotel like all others in Peru was noisy. The rooms and bathrooms were quite adequate for two nights and the breakfast was quite good with limited hot options. Coca tea and coffee were available and the staff were quite friendly. Only one block to the main square and... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of an Intrepid group. This is a very well appointed hotel. My room (313) overlooked the main street at the front of the hotel so was very noisy at night, you will need ear plugs. The rooms have a flat screen TV with English language stations, a mini fridge, and free Wi-Fi. My... More

Stayed here as part of an Intrepd group and a few extra days as my husband was not well ... so left the group and rejoined them a few days later. Hotel staff were very helpful booking taxis, arranging restaurant reservations and helping with medical issues. Location is the biggest plus with the hotel. One long block to the main... More

Stayed here as part on an Intrepid tour of Peru. Really liked this hotel. The location is brilliant, close to everything. Our room was overlooking the monastery which was lovely. Our room was warm but some others in the group said their rooms got cold at night so a room facing the street seems to be warmer as the sun... More

Stayed two nights as part of an Intrepid group. The geographic location is fine with lots of places to dine, walk and close to everything. The issue is that it is across the street from a noisy club. Music was blaring until 0300, people were outside yelling and screaming, and drunken brawls continued until 0500. Absolutely no way to sleep.... More

The Asturias hotel in located in a central location in Arequipa: about 4 blocks down from the centre, right next to the Santa Catalina Monastery (which is one of the city's best attractions, in my opinion). It may be a bit noisy for some, but I can't tell because I always wear ear plugs... On the plus side, you are... More

Bob and I spent two nights in this hotel when were on the Intrepid tour of Peru. Rooms were clean; shower was great; included breakfast which was so much better than the other previous three hotels we visited. Breakfast included juice, coffee or tea, fruit, rolls, and scrambled eggs. Staff spoke limited English but were accommodating. There was complimentary tea... More
