I have never stayed here but have eaten in the restaurant on a number of occasions and it is one of my favourites in Cuenca or anywhere in the world for that matter. More

We had a lovely stay and would have extended longer if the family room had been available. Our room was very practical with the upstairs loft for our children. Service was exceptional. A delightful juice upon our checkin and a sweet treat in the evening. Beds were very comfortable and everything was first class. We will be returning! More

Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Cuenca and the southern Andean highlands. Cannot recommend it highly enough as a good value, atmospheric, place to stay. It is in a perfect location for walking the central district, on a quiet one-way street, and is decorated in an attractive historical way. The central enclosed courtyard is the restaurant, also beautifully decorated,... More

We stayed 3 nights right after Christmas. The hotel was still beautifully decorated and I'm sure is lovely even after the decorations are taken down, with an enclosed center courtyard with a tree and lots of beautiful wood paneling. Even more lovely however are the staff, who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Their advice and... More

My wife and I stayed here 12/29. We arrived late and they did not have our reservation. I had called earlier in the day but no email or confirmation. We got their last room - second floor on the courtyard which might explain how noisy the room was. The courtyard was noisy until about 10pm so be prepared if you... More

Let me start by saying the service is top from arrival to departure, always a "buenos" from all the staff and very accommodating! The hotel itself is beautiful and the dining area in the center of the lobby with a real tree hanging over is beautiful, the food there however is nothing to write home about. My only caveat on... We were pleased with the style, location, courtesy of the staff and the food. The two suggestions we have are increase the lighting in the rooms and train a bartender to fix drinks properly. There is some confusion about the happy hour deal, but that just needs a new sign explaining what is, or is not, on the deal. More

We stayed on the top floor which had slightly bigger rooms but were more modern. The main floor offered clasic colonial rooms and would have been better. The restaraunt was very good. More

The bed at Hotel Santa Lucia was probably the best one during our trip, not to say that the others were uncomfortable by any means. We were greeted promptly and our bags were taken to our rooms while we signed in. At every opportunity the staff was there to open doors and offer a polite "buenos días" without ever becoming... This boutique hotel is top notch in all respects. The physical facility is stunning with a grand courtyard (used as a dining room), an enormous and beautifully restored reading room on the second floor, and well decorated and very comfortable rooms. In addition there is a lovely breakfast room (ample breakfast included) and a nice bar with an attentive bartender.... More
