I stayed here three nights before Galapagos and one night after and was happier with the first room I had (room 10) than the second one (room 12) as it had a row of glass panes high up with no curtains and with the light streaming through the glass domed roof of the building I was awake very early, but... We were 4 days at the Aleida's Hostal, it was great. Good juices, good breakfast. The host is very helpful and very very nice. Everything is clean and security is a priority. It's a good area with services and good restaurants.

We stayed at aleidas hostel in total six nights. The owner is soo sweet and really helpful. The rooms are decent and room and shared bathrooms are clean. Breakfast was also very good. Beds are a little hard, but we would stay there again.

I stayed at Aleida's Hostal nearly 3 weeks. Elena is very nice and helpful. She helped me with finding my way around Quito, laundry, calling a cab, organizing transportation to the airport etc When I left for the Galapagos Islands or for Cotopaxi I could store my bags, no problem. The breakfast is small but delicious, the hostel is very... More

The owner of this Hostal was so nice! She helped us make a reservation at our next hostal on our trip to La Tigua. I stayed here a second time, and had a very early flight. She not only woke me up at 3:30 AM to help me catch my flight, she made me eggs and coffee on my way... More

The owner is nice, and the room was clean. But we had no hot water; the owner said we just had to let it run. It went from ice cold to cold. The room itself was pretty cold too. Wifi in the common room, but we couldn't get it in our room. It was only $43 though, so what can... More

We spent in Aleida's Hostal all of our nights in Quito. It was our base from which we were departing to other parts of Ecuador. The owner- Elena is very kind, helfpul and friendly. She is one of the nicest person we have ever met during all of our travels. Furthermore Elena is a very good source of information. You... More

My wife and I stayed here last year in July. The owner was so caring and made sure that you were happy. I went there to run the Maraton de Quito and she booked a taxi to take me to the start and then even got up herself at 4am to make sure I made it to the race and... More

If you’re looking for a mellow, safe, friendly hostel with quick WiFi in Quito give it a try. The owner Elena, who is very nice, is big on safety and will insist on calling a reputable cab company any time you want to leave. It costs a bit more, but will insure that you hold onto all your important belongings!... More
