I booked for a private room but I realized, once arriving at the hostel, that the dorms are extremely comfortables. I spent only one night there but it was great. My room and the shared bathrooms were clean. The staff was friendly and the location is good. I felt at home.

We found this one in the lonely planet. It is a hit of a jaunt from the bus terminal or you can catch the 612 bus to a couple of blocks above the hostel. Bus is only about a dollar Canadian. We enjoyed the place in this crazy town. The location in a friendly and safe nieghbourhood is really great, the staff very helpful, the rooms and facilities are tidy and the breakfast is very good (it even includes fresh fruit!!!).

Luna sonrisa was a great place to stay. We stayed 3 nights there and we're very comfortable the whole time. Very friendly and accommodating staff, good breakfast, and lots of info about valparaiso. A good place to get some rest after a long day. The twin room on the top floor is great, has a good view.

A great place for a small family to stay and enjoy Valparaiso. We had a great couple of days exploring Valparaiso , using this apartment in Cerro Alegre as our base. Ascensor Reina Victoria is close by, as are several great restaurants.
