Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very good location as hotel is near Bras Basah MRT Station. No water in the room but there is a water dispenser in the hallway. Room is big. There are toiletries available but no cotton buds 😁 and no hair conditioner. There is a dryer in the bathroom. There is an iron for clothes, complimentary coffee and safe. My rating 3/5

Pros - The location is ideal, if you want to walk around and explore Singapore using MRT, this place is most economical. - The rooms are reasonably good and air-conditioning works well and hot/cold water supplies run very good. Cons: - The breakfast buffet was extremely basic, at 07AM the eggs were cold and very limited choices. Some of the stuff you wouldn't even want to look at, let alone eat. - For reasons I never understood, the bath-tub was leaking which meant couple of the towels provided were utilised to soak it. - The WiFi is choppy and not consistently strong, you will be mid-way through surfing or speaking and expect a drop in connection. - The Room Services Menu is again very basic, limited choices and quality is not one you would expect. - Dont use the toiletries provided, the toothbrush is HARD, the comb is rubbish quality and rest are not even worth opening. Only go for this if you seek a bed in a decent location!

We stayed here for 3 nights during visit to Singapore. We selected this hotel based on price, location and reviews we had read. The hotel is out of main part of city but close to railway station and bus stops so easy enough to get around. We used taxis the most and it usually cost us around $10 (Singapore dollars) to get to the Marina, or downtown. We used Grab once, we found them more expensive than the taxis. The hotel lobby is very basic, checkin was quick, staff friendly. We got a room on the 14th floor, no view, just rooftops, but that didn’t matter. In the room there was King size bed which we found a bit hard and pillows not so comfy but it was fine. There is a comfy chair and a long thin desk /table top along wall that was handy to put things on. The bathroom consisted of vanity, toilet and walk in shower, it’s quite compact but was sufficient. The room was clean. We had breakfast at hotel the first morning, but there wasn’t much choice for us (Australians) and the food we had was average, so we didn’t go again. I would recommend this hotel based on price compared to others, it’s not too far away, it’s clean.

Great location. Within 10 minute walk to Bugis Junction, markets and Raffles. MRT entrance just outside. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a good selection and some dishes changed daily. Smoking area just outside the hotel entrance. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is reasonably priced for a walking distance from the Suntec Convention Centre. It is clean and well maintained for a comfortable stay. There are not many options for vegetarians in the buffet breakfast but good enough. I have no complaint for this hotel.

Went to Singapore for the Formula 1 race and found this jewel just 10min away from the racetrack. Everything was in walking distance or a cheap taxi away. Staff was really friendly and the rooms were nice and well equipes. Good value overall

7 night stay. On arrival I paid a SGD$50 cash incidentals deposit for my whole stay. Was given a receipt which I showed on check-out and had my cash returned. All staff I encountered were efficient and professional. I never had to wait to speak to anyone in the Reception area.

My 14th floor room was large, quiet and well set up for a longer stay. I liked the long bench area and plenty of wardrobe space and there was plenty of space to put my luggage. My room had a decent view over the City Hall area and also National Museum and Fort Canning Park.

Housekeeping was prompt and my room was made up before lunch each day. I really appreciated that. The room is dated (dark chocolate brown and beige colours) and a bit scuffed, but the bed was very large and comfortable. Some dust on mirrors and some surfaces so the hotel really needs to do extra cleaning.

Swimming pool area was decent. A bit tricky to access as it was outside and up a steep flight of steps. Not fancy but the pool was clean and long enough to do laps and I had a couple of good swims.

At first internet access was patchy and intermittent, but after speaking to Reception staff twice it was resolved and became fast and reliable?

An entrance to Bras Basah MRT station was only a couple of minutes walk away.

I paid a great bargain price by booking on Agoda and for the amount I paid I was very satisfied with my stay.
