The pool is very nice as well as the breakfast. I always get upgraded to the renewal suites so I dont know about the other rooms but the suites are very very nice.  More

The grand Hyatt is a pretty crappy hotel in Singapore. the rooms including the suites are so below average. There are usually expired food products in the mini bar. The lobby gives you a sleazy vibe. Not a great hotel to stay in if you're looking for luxury. More

As others have said before, the location is superior. I realize most people who are willing to pay around $350US plus for a hotel room probably aren't taking the MRT but it's a 5 minute walk from front door to the train. Large hotel with inevitable feel of impersonality but suite accommodation was very comfortable and perfectly quiet allowing for a great night's sleep. Didn't try any of the facilities and missed breakfast on account of jet lag but a definite must is the Strait's Kitchen Restaurant. Located in the middle of central Singapore, it's the perfect starting point for shopaholics. More
